Aðalsteinn gerir atlögu að Gylfa Arnbjörnssyni

Aðalsteinn Baldursson gerir atrennu að forsetanum en heldur virðist vera að kvarnast undan Gylfa Arnbjörnssyni. Það verður æ auljósara að Gylfi stendur ekki með hinum vinnandi manni heldur gengur frekar erinda auðvaldsins.

Hann virðist ráð öllu því sem AGS ræður ekki. Það er spurning hvort ekki eigi bara að leggja ríkisstjórnina niður og leyfa Gylfa og Rozwadowski bara að sjá um þetta.

Ég ætla að skrifa Norðurlandaráði og spyrjast fyrir um þetta.

To the Nordic Council

This morning I read in my newspaper that the MP Helgi Hjörvar has been appointed as the next president of the Nordic Council.

It is public that four MP's in the present parliament have accepted huge sums (can hardly be defined as anything but bribes) from companies (Baugur and FL group) implicated in the huge corruption that led eventually to the downfall of the Icelandic banks. This was in 2006 candidacy for the primaries. Two of those MP's are members the Independence party (Sjálfstæðisflokkur) and two are members of the Social Democrat party (Samfylking).

Helgi Hjörvar is one of those four MP's receiving 900.000 ISK that is equivalent to 90.000 DKR at the time from Baugur Group. It has been painful for the Icelandic public to watch how nonchalant the government is with respect to shouldering responsibility for the criminal actions leading up to the downfall of the banks and the enormous harm it has done to the common people in Iceland.

The main reason for the problem that caused the crash of the Icelandic economy is the kleptocratic politics and the transfer of funds and favours between businessmen, politicians and officials. This is not being dealt with in any realistic way. The political parties are still led by people implicated in the corruption and politics, administration and business is still kleptocratic and it is characteristic that secrecy and delusion are still the way to do things. The government is counting on the short memory of the public.

The Social Democrats (samfylkingin) has been brutal in this respect. Putting on shows and then going on with business as usual.

It is a great disappointment that the Nordic Counsel does not regard unsettled matters as briberies an obstacle when appointing an individual in a position of responsibility as the president of the counsel.

Bókin var skrifuð upp úr erindum/ritum sem kynnt voru á ráðstefnu sem studd var af stofnun "criminal justice ethics" árið 2001 og 2002.

Eins og fram kemur í tilvitnuninni hér að ofan verður að skilgreina framlög sem mútur þegar ætla má að ...gefandinn hafi fyrirætlanir um að hafa áhrif á opinber störf eða embættisfærslur.

Við skulum þá skoða þetta með tilliti til Baugs.

Gjöf Baugs er í þessu tilviki 11.600.000 en eins og kunnugt er bættust síðan við tugir milljóna gjafir í sjálfum kosningunum.

Er líklegt að fyrirtæki láti af hendi rakna tugi milljóna án þess að ætla sér greiða eða viðvik á móti. T.d frjálsa samkeppnislöggjöf með litlum viðurlögum við brotum svo dæmi sé nefnt.

Þingmenn sem taka þátt í svona leik eru óvinir launamansins og neytandans en ekki síst kjósandans. Það skulum við muna.
